The software side of Oleo

OleoCare is the loss-leader, the moat, and the data engine.

A free patient app paired with a prescriber portal. Patients log dosages, symptoms, side effects, and adherence. Prescribers monitor in real time and adjust treatment. The same architecture Richard runs at truMED LLC. Today it's a useful tool. With Module 2 of the ops plan, it becomes the pharmacovigilance and adherence engine that keeps Oleo locked in with prescribers.

How OleoCare works today (per oleo.ie).

Patient surface

  • Profile setup with medical history
  • Dose logging + treatment reminders
  • Symptom tracking
  • Side-effect logging
  • Treatment data shared with provider

Prescriber surface

  • Real-time monitoring of patient logs
  • Adherence dashboard
  • Side-effect history
  • Dose adjustment context
  • Per-patient feedback survey results

Where the value compounds.

OleoCare today is a useful adherence + monitoring tool. Three operational moves transform it into a strategic asset:

1. AI symptom summaries (Module 2 of the ops plan)

Auto-generated weekly summaries for prescribers. Anomaly flags. Pre-appointment briefings. Pharmacovigilance auto-flag for HPRA yellow card. Prescriber retention compounds, regulatory reporting becomes automatic.

2. Aggregate evidence base

Anonymised, opt-in adherence + outcome data. Becomes the citable evidence base for MCAP effectiveness. Useful in regulatory submissions, conference presentations, and scientific publication.

3. Lock-in with prescribers

Once a consultant is using OleoCare, the data history is sticky. New entrant suppliers post MCAP-expansion will struggle to displace Oleo because the patient-data continuity matters.

4. Risk: Article 9 GDPR

OleoCare handles special-category health data. DPIA mandatory. AI module 2 must be built under HIPAA-equivalent posture, with penetration testing pre-launch. Nothing goes near patient data without proper scaffolding.
